Quoli x Mageworx: a partnership built for compounding AOV on Shopify

Our newest tech partnership pairs Quoli's review surfaces with Mageworx's bundle and upsell apps. Reviews surface inside bundle pages, Nuggets fire in the upsell flow, and AOV compounds.

Today we're announcing a tech partnership with Mageworx, the team behind some of the most-used bundle, upsell, and cross-sell apps on the Shopify App Store. The integration is live for every store running both Quoli and a Mageworx app, and the goal is simple: make social proof show up exactly where shoppers decide whether to add another product to the cart.

Bundles and upsells are AOV multipliers. Reviews are the trust layer that makes them convert. When the two run side by side, conversion on bundle pages and post-add-to-cart upsell modals climbs in a way that neither app produces alone. That's the thesis behind this partnership, and it's already showing up in early merchant data.

Why bundles need reviews#

A bundle PDP is a high-stakes page. The shopper is being asked to spend more in a single transaction, often on items they hadn't planned to buy. The standard objection is predictable: "Is the second product actually as good as the one I came for?" Without proof, the bundle gets ignored or the cheapest item gets stripped out at the cart. With proof on the page, the bundle holds together.

Mageworx Bundles & Discounts gives merchants a clean, configurable way to construct bundles, mix-and-match deals, and tiered offers. What it didn't have, until now, was a native way to surface the trust signals each bundled SKU has accumulated across thousands of past orders. That's where Quoli plugs in.

What the integration unlocks#

  • Bundle product page star ratings. Every product in a bundle shows its individual rating and review count, pulled live from Quoli. Shoppers can see at a glance that all four items in a starter pack are 4.7+ rated, not just the hero SKU.
  • Nuggets in upsell modals. Mageworx Cross-Sell triggers a modal when a shopper adds a qualifying item. Quoli Nuggets, the AI-extracted one-line review highlights, render inside that modal so the cross-sell carries instant credibility.
  • Aggregated bundle reviews. When a bundle is purchased frequently, Quoli rolls the per-SKU reviews into a single bundle-level rating. The bundle page gets its own 4.8 from 1,210 reviews badge instead of feeling like an unproven SKU.
  • Photo and video reviews on cross-sell product pages. The product page carousel pulls in real customer media for any product Mageworx surfaces as an upsell. UGC shows up in the exact moment a shopper is weighing whether to add it.

What we're seeing in early data#

Across the 40 brands in the closed beta, merchants running both apps with the integration enabled saw bundle attach rate climb 12 to 19 percent compared to bundles without inline reviews. Average order value on bundle landing pages lifted 6 to 11 percent. The pattern is consistent: when a shopper can see proof at the moment of decision, they upgrade.

Quoli quick tip

If you're running tiered bundles (buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 20%), put a Quoli Nugget under each tier. Pick the highlight that addresses the objection at that price point. "Worth every dollar" works for the top tier. "Better than I expected" works for the entry tier.

How to enable it#

  1. 01Install Quoli from the Shopify App Store and run through the onboarding (Theme App Extension auto-injects the widgets).
  2. 02Install your Mageworx app of choice (Bundles & Discounts, Cross-Sell, or Upsell).
  3. 03Inside Quoli, go to Integrations and toggle on the Mageworx connection. The handshake happens automatically; no API keys to copy.
  4. 04Open any bundle page in your theme editor and drop the Quoli widget block into the bundle layout.
  5. 05Configure which Quoli widgets show in upsell modals (Nuggets and star ratings recommended for sub-modal placements).

Why we partnered with Mageworx#

Mageworx has been building Shopify apps since 2015 and has a reputation for clean code, fast support, and merchants who stay loyal for years. That alignment matters. Reviews and bundles touch the most sensitive parts of a Shopify storefront, and the last thing any merchant wants is two apps fighting each other in the DOM.

We tested the integration end to end against the 12 most-used Shopify themes (Dawn, Sense, Studio, Origin, Impact, Crave, Trade, Refresh, Symmetry, Prestige, Impulse, Motion). Zero conflicts. Zero theme rewrites required. The Theme App Extension handles every injection point cleanly.

What's next#

Phase two of the partnership lands this summer: Mageworx upsell flows will be able to dynamically prioritize cross-sells based on Quoli review velocity, so the products with the most fresh five-star reviews surface first. We're also building a shared dashboard so merchants can see bundle performance and review impact in one view.
